Dr. Leo Bennett keeps the emergency list. On any given day he is the clinician who takes the swelling that started overnight, the tooth fractured on a Sunday, the crown that came off an hour before a wedding.
Nine years of urgent-care dentistry have made him fast without being hurried. He diagnoses in a structured order, treats the pain first, and explains the longer-term plan only once the patient is comfortable enough to actually hear it.
Much of his week is root canal therapy under magnification, work that has a reputation it no longer deserves — the vast majority of his patients report the appointment was easier than the toothache that brought them in.
